1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating a Kanaevo Academy workspace, accepting an invitation, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you create or manage a workspace for an academy, club, business, team or coaching practice, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
“Kanaevo Academy”, “Kanaevo”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Kanaevo Academy software service. “Workspace Owner” means the person or organization responsible for a Kanaevo workspace. “Authorized User” includes owners, administrators, coaches, staff, parents, athletes, Personal Trainers, Private Coaches and clients who are granted access.
2. The Kanaevo service
Kanaevo provides sports-management and coaching software, including attendance, timetables, session planning, MotionBoard and tactical tools, athlete or client progression, communication, records, reports, notifications and branded installable app experiences.
Features vary by workspace type, plan, sport, device and release. Kanaevo may improve, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary to maintain, secure or develop the service.
Where enabled by the applicable workspace and plan, the App Builder lets you publish a branded installable web app using your academy or coaching name, logo and colours. “Build your own app” refers to this Kanaevo-powered installable web app and does not, unless expressly stated, include a separate Apple App Store or Google Play Store listing.
3. Accounts, access and responsibilities
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and keep access limited to people who are authorized to use the workspace. You are responsible for activity performed through accounts under your control unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
Workspace Owners control role assignments and permissions. Academies and coaches are responsible for deciding which staff, parents, athletes or clients may access particular records and for removing access when it is no longer appropriate.
Kanaevo may require email verification, one-time codes, authenticator verification, device confirmation or other security measures. Attempts to bypass access controls, impersonate another person or access another workspace are prohibited.
4. Minors, athletes and family access
Sports academies and coaches may use Kanaevo in connection with children and young athletes. The Workspace Owner is responsible for ensuring that it has the permissions, notices, consents or other lawful basis required to create records about minors, invite parents or guardians, upload media, and process information about an athlete.
Where applicable law requires parental or guardian involvement, the academy or coach must obtain it before using Kanaevo for that child. Kanaevo’s technical age-routing or login rules are product safeguards and do not replace any legal consent requirement that applies to the organization or family.
5. Customer data, media and sensitive information
You retain ownership of information, photos, videos, notes, progression records and other content you or your authorized users upload to Kanaevo. You grant Kanaevo a limited right to host, process, display, transmit and back up that content only as needed to provide, protect and improve the service.
You must have the right to upload and use any content you place in the service. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, abusive or intentionally malicious material.
Injury, wellbeing and similar records can contain sensitive information. Academies and coaches are responsible for limiting those records to appropriate purposes and authorized users. Kanaevo coaching, progression and injury tools are not medical diagnosis or treatment services and do not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
6. Free trials, subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Where Kanaevo offers a no-card trial, no payment method is required to begin that trial and the trial will not automatically charge you unless you separately choose a paid subscription. Trial length, included features and any limits are shown when you register.
Paid Kanaevo subscriptions are purchased through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction. Lemon Squeezy processes the checkout, payment, applicable sales tax or VAT, invoices, refunds and chargebacks relating to the purchase. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s Buyer Terms.
Lemon Squeezy currently supports subscription payments by card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Supported card networks include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB and China UnionPay. Availability can vary by country, device and browser, and the checkout shows the methods available to each customer.
Unless the checkout states otherwise, paid subscriptions renew for the selected billing period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing area or Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues until the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated.
Refund requests are handled through the merchant-of-record process and are subject to the applicable purchase terms, any published Kanaevo refund policy and mandatory consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
Academy and coach fee records are not Kanaevo payments. If a workspace records fees, packages or payments owed by athletes, parents or clients, those entries are administrative records managed by the academy or coach. Kanaevo does not collect, hold or transfer that money unless a separate payment service is expressly offered.
7. Acceptable use
You may use Kanaevo only for lawful sports, coaching, academy-management and related business purposes. You must not:
- attempt to bypass authentication, permissions, subscription limits or tenant separation;
- probe, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- upload malware, harmful code, unlawful content or material that violates another person’s rights;
- use Kanaevo to harass, exploit, endanger or unlawfully monitor another person;
- resell, sublicense or provide unauthorized access to the Kanaevo platform itself.
8. Kanaevo intellectual property
Kanaevo and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, software, designs, interfaces, code, documentation, trademarks and service technology. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your authorized access period.
Your custom branding remains yours. Using your logo, colours or academy name in an App Builder experience does not transfer ownership of the underlying Kanaevo software. A “Powered by Kanaevo Academy” attribution may be displayed where the product design requires it.
9. Availability, devices, integrations and backups
Kanaevo is designed to work across supported modern browsers and installable-device experiences. Some functions depend on internet access, browser permissions, push-notification services, email delivery, third-party infrastructure or the operating system.
We take reasonable measures to protect and maintain the service, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability, delivery of every notification, permanent compatibility with every device, or absolute security. Customers should maintain appropriate copies of information they independently need for legal, accounting, safeguarding or operational purposes.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Kanaevo and cancel future subscription renewals at any time subject to your billing terms. Kanaevo may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, abuse, legal compliance, material breach of these Terms or protection of users and the platform.
When access ends, some information may remain temporarily retained where required for backups, security, accounting, dispute handling or legal compliance. Workspace Owners are responsible for exporting records they need before permanent deletion or expiry where export functionality is available.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Kanaevo is a software tool. Coaching decisions, athlete supervision, safeguarding, medical decisions, session safety, facility safety, staffing and compliance remain the responsibility of the relevant academy, coach or professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kanaevo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kanaevo’s aggregate liability for claims relating to a paid subscription will not exceed the amount paid for that subscription during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, security or business changes. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date. If a change materially affects existing paid customers, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
These Terms are subject to applicable mandatory law. If you have a separate written agreement with Kanaevo, that agreement controls where it expressly conflicts with these Terms.
